@KawiLover250 The “designated” nursing areas are the dressing rooms. Not much different than nursing in a bathroom to me. My favorite designated nursing area was the bathroom at the zoo…with a little pulldown seat over the open toilet…so gross.I fed my baby by the front gate instead :)

@getsbusy5 yes,but not really the same thing.

@Stefaangoossens I am an American AND a breastfeeding mother (but not a Republican).I have to say that I agree with you. A woman can’t nurse in public w/o ridicule because breasts are so sexualized.Public transportation buses with Victoria Secret models showing MUCH more skin than that of a woman nursing is just fine…You can sell ANYTHING with a breast in the ad,but God forbid you try and nurse in public and you get “OMG that’s nasty”. Our population has some very strange ideas on many things.

These self absorbed women make me sick. They used their babies as props to demonstrate their displeasure. Boohoo. Grow up. This was all about power and humiliation and control and had nothing to do with breast feeding.

  5. Stefaangoossens

Only in USA people are so retarded: they don’t now the difference between porn and feeding.
Shame on you republican hypocrites! And still they wonder why people hate the USA… This is a reason, one of many.

@NorthSideCapone The fact that you get turned on watching a woman breastfeeding a child is *your* problem, not hers. There are people who get sexually aroused by all kinds of nonsexual things; for instance, feet. Should we ask women not to wear sandals so they don’t give men erections? Or should we have women wear burqas so men can’t be aroused by *any* part of their bodies? Be a man–be responsible for your own erection.

@NakedNormaRae it is when i watch it

  8. NakedNormaRae

@NorthSideCapone Masturbation is a sexual act. Breastfeeding isn’t.

  9. NorthSideCapone

oh yea… thats money… thats fucking money

i got arrested for jerking off in the parking lot of this target location… masterbation is natural so why harass me on this day.

  11. paalasecor

Here’s the thing. It doesn’t matter if people are offended by women breastfeeding in public. It is protected by law. Period. If a woman is harassed for exercising her right to nourish her child where and when she deems fit, it is harassment, plain and simple.

  12. KawiLover250

@ganto77 they do show breasts in schools, why shouldn’t they? They aren’t something to be shameful about. The problem is our over sexually driven culture and attitudes. And what you said is nonsense. If babies truly did prefer being covered, why do so many women successfully breastfeed in public? And none of the Targets I’ve every been to have designated nursing areas. I doubt any do.

My girlfriend has to have protein. She prefers protein from my prostate gland. She can become hungry at any moment of the day without warning. We were kicked out of a store when I was administering my protein into her mouth. We were careful to use a blanket so as not to be lude. I don’t understand why feeding my girlfriend is any different than a mother feeding her baby. I think that all men like me should stage a protest, perhaps a flash mob of men feeding protein to their women.

@getsbusy5 There is a dramatic difference health wise about humans or animals eliminating waste products and nourishing their young with the milk that their breasts are made to produce and supply. Breast milk is not a health hazard and nourishing the youngest and most vulnerable human beings is not something which needs to be hidden from view unless you are the Taliban.

  15. macthefireman

It simply should be something that you see every day. Society has so distorted perceptions of the beautiful action of a woman feeding her child naturally that for some sexually hung up people it has become “obscene” rather than the wonderful, healthy and beautiful thing it really is. Sad that the company policy is not reinforced by head office until there is a controversy.

@NakedNormaRae You do that. But then, would we want people staring at

@ganto77 breastfeeding? No. All of that doesn’t matter in the scheme of the big picture which is….breastfeeding in public. There is a right way and a wrong way to do it.Right way, cover yourself as a sign of respect for not only yourself but to others who do not wish to see a tit and wrong way..not cover your tit had have it exposed causing a fuss. What everyone needs to do is come together for the middle ground so everyone can live happily ever fucking after!

@ganto77 What it comes down to is the fact that people don’t want to allow breastfeeding in public. Everything else involved (them shooting her stares or making disgusted faces, making comments about breastfeeding in public, her sitting on the floor, them asking her to go to the dressing room (which is only partially the case) is just pussyfooting around.should she have been sitting on the floor causing an obstruction? No. Should the employees have made comments or remarks regarding her

@ganto77 Thanks for the info, I’ll be sure to google this so I know where not to go on vacation.

@creamsodaistasty I’m aware that breasts being exposed is the issue. However, I doubt any of these women were walking across the salesfloor bare breasted. That’s why it’s polite and not too much to ask to look away while a woman is breastfeeding.

  23. ganto77

@creamsodaistasty You have to understand she did something that caused a reaction. She was expecting that, and she claimed she was humiliated. Had she done things the right way, this discussion would not have happened. America is going down because people lacking respect and consideration towards others. Why should we support the acts of undisciplined people? They only drag us down.

@NakedNormaRae You should know there are countries where you get fined if you have your meal in public, unless it is designated for that.
